"Smartphones For Dummies..."

I remember so many years ago when I got my first Blackberry. It was wild. It was blue and didn't show color on the screen. It was strictly black and white. Soon, I upgraded to the, then, new BB, which was black and had a color display.

Many people think I switched to iPhone because I thought it was better than BB, but that's not exactly true. I switched from BB because its being exclusive vanished. I tend to love being exclusive. Even when people did have BBs, they never knew how to use their BB for anything more than calling and texting. If you ask anyone with a so-called "Smartphone" what they use it for, you'll get the basics of calling, texting, emailing and social networking. These are consumer usages for smartphones.

If any of you are old enough to remember "Beepers" or "Pagers" and remember that medical professionals were the first with them, you'll also remember when they were open to consumers. Rarely did people use their "Beeper" for work related reasons. Well, the drug dealers and corner boys did.

Even with iPhones! I loved it when only AT&T had the contract. Not everyone had it. Now with AT&T, Verizon and Spirit carrying the iPhone, you see them"EVERYWHERE" and they have become very trendy. Smartphones are accessories and fashion statements. My first iPhone was my gateway product to Apple. Once I got my first iPhone, I soon switched from bring a PC to being a Mac User and I honestly love it.

I've always had this vibe to be different. Some say I'm trying to be uppity or think I'm better than others. I'm not sure.

What do you use your Smartphone for?
